Native to southern African regions where it grows along hillsides and behind waterfalls, this is a delicate vining/ trailing plant produce very long thin stems from which semi succulent heart -shaped leaves grow, often in pairs. Purple/white tubular flowers will bloom and aerial ball shaped tubers will form on stems. These can be lifted attached to stem and placed half submerged into the soil from which they will sprout new growth
This is a variegated variety
Position - in bright but dappled / filtered light. Can tolerate partial shade
Water - water only once much of the soil has dried out. These hold water in their leaves for a time. They can be watered from below, if placed in water for 15 mins or so
Feeding - An application of a balanced feed 3 or times between spring and autumn will give it a nourishing boost
Ideal Temperature - 14°C and 21°C (65°F and 75°F).
Repotting - only when necessary using an aerated, free draining mix of compost and horticultural grit or perlite
