Epipremnum aureum
inc E. pinnatum
Native to rainforests of Southern & Central America where they grow as a hemiepiphyte,
rapidly climbing up tree trunks by embedding aerial roots into the bark
Position - in filtered light to partial shade, keep away from direct sun. More variegated types require higher indirect light
Water - allow top couple of inches to dry between waterings, allowing excess water to drain away. Never allow pot to sit in water as roots will rot.
Humidity - prefers high
Feed - apply liquid fertiliser twice a month from spring to autumn
- Yellowing or leaves or soft blackening stems may indicate overwatering.
- Drooping leaves and stems indicates underwatering (will quickly pick up again with a drink)
- If provided support to climb, the leaves will increase in size
