Asparagus Ferns

Native to South & East Africa where it scrambles through scrubland and forests

Position - in filtered light away from direct sun. Some morning sun is beneficial. Will tolerate some light shade

Water - often enough to keep root ball moist but not soggy, allowing top layer of soil to dry in between waterings. Never allow pot to sit in water as roots will rot

Humidity - prefers moderate to high.

Feed - apply diluted liquid fertiliser once a month from spring to autumn

-Yellowing/browning fronds and needle drop indicate under watering or too much sunlight

- Yellowing fronds may indicate overwatering, check for overly wet soil surface and mould

- Decayed stems can can be pruned down to the base and the plant rejuvenated with correct care

- Please note these are not true ferns, only nicknamed as so
