Native to rain forests in South East Asia where

it grows as an epiphyite

Position - in a warm room in bright filtered light, some morning sun can be beneficial

Water - allow top couple of inches to dry between waterings, keeping rootball just moist. These prefer rainwater.

Never allow pot to sit in water as roots will rot

Humidity - maintain high

Feed - apply weak liquid fertiliser monthly from spring to autumn, preferably one with higher potassium and phosphorus to promote flowering

Foliage varies between species but all types will produce clusters of pink, red or maroon trumpet shaped blooms at the ends of stems

Cut stems back by a third after flowering to promote bushiness and more blooms
